Educational Background
My journey in law began with the completion of my postgraduate degree in law at T.U. Dublin. Seeking to broaden my horizons, I relocated to London in 2011 to further my studies. In London, I earned a Graduate Diploma in Law followed by the Legal Practice Course. These qualifications have equipped me with a solid foundation in legal principles and the practical skills necessary for effective litigation.
Professional Experience
London
During my time in London, I had the opportunity to represent a Local Authority on various matters involving landlord and tenant law. I honed my advocacy skills by appearing at both the County Court and First-tier Tribunal jurisdictions. This experience allowed me to develop a keen understanding of the intricacies of landlord and tenant disputes.
Dublin
In 2019, I returned to Ireland to complete my training contract with a specialist Family Law firm in Dublin. Here, I attended and assisted at the High Court, Circuit Court, and District Court for family law, child law, and debt recovery cases. These experiences enriched my knowledge of family law and deepened my commitment to advocating for clients in sensitive and complex legal matters.
Tipperary
Upon my admission to the Roll of Solicitors in 2021, I joined a claimant medical negligence firm in Tipperary. During this period, I managed cases involving cancer misdiagnosis, birth injuries, and negligently performed surgeries. My work in Tipperary underscored the importance of meticulous case preparation and compassionate client communication.
Dublin
In 2023, I transitioned to a defence medical negligence firm in Dublin, where I gained invaluable experience representing defendants in complex medical negligence cases. This role required a strategic approach to litigation and a thorough understanding of medical standards and practices.
Currently, as part of HOMS Assist, I handle both medical negligence and personal injury cases, including delayed diagnoses, misdiagnoses, and road traffic accidents (RTAs). My dual experience in claimant and defence litigation positions me uniquely to anticipate and counteract opposing strategies, ensuring a comprehensive and empathetic representation of my clients’ interests.
