HOMS Assist is proud to sponsor the Michal Rejmer Memorial 10-mile road race for the second year in a row.
The race will take place on Sunday, April 16th at 11am in Co. Limerick and is hosted by Dooneen A.C.
Starting and finishing at the picturesque Limerick Racecourse, it is the only timed 10-mile road race to take place annually in Limerick, taking participants on a route that travels through Raheen, Patrickswell and the Crecora countryside.
Michal Rejmer was a well-known Limerick runner but died tragically in 2016 at the age of 38. The race will be run in his honour.
The 10-mile road run will be chip timed and is the perfect event for those who have completed the Great Limerick Run and are now preparing for the Dublin City Marathon and other autumn races.
Prizes will keep runners enticed on the day, with the first 500 finishes receiving a bespoke medal. A substantial prize fund of over €2,000 is also included with awards for the top five male and female athletes on the day and the first male and female finished aged over 40, 50, 60 and 70.
Robert Bourke, Partner at HOMS Assist, commented: “At HOMS Assist, we have always been proud to sponsor local sports events and so it a great honour to sponsor this race in memory of popular Limerick runner Michal Rejmer who died tragically in 2016. The event will remember Michel’s remarkable achievements, his love for running and his drive to help others. We want to encourage others to take part if they can.”
