Senior Associate – Personal Injury

Role Description:

 

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Associate to join
our personal injury team based in the HOMS Assist Dublin office. The successful
candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and managing personal injury cases,
supporting clients, providing expert legal advice, and contributing to the growth and
success of our firm. Your day-to-day work will involve managing cases, drafting legal
documents, providing legal advice, and ensuring that all legal procedures are
followed.

Responsibilities:

 

Case Management:
● Lead and manage a portfolio of personal injury cases from inception to resolution.
● Conduct legal research, assess case merits, and provide strategic guidance.
Client Consultation:
● Interact directly with clients to understand their needs, provide legal advice, and manage expectations.
● Ensure effective communication throughout the legal process.
Litigation:
● Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
● Draft and file legal documents, pleadings, and motions.
● Collaborate with external experts and counsel when necessary.
Supervision and Mentorship:
● Provide guidance and mentorship to junior associates and support staff.
● Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Legal Compliance:
● Stay informed about changes in personal injury law and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Client Development:
● Contribute to business development initiatives, including client outreach and relationship-building activities.

Qualifications:

 

● A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years of experience
● Advantage if you have medical negligence experience
● Proven track record of successfully managing and resolving personal injury cases.
● Excellent legal research, analytical, and negotiation skills.
● Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
● Have the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with clients – have a good understanding of clients’ needs and an ability to meet their demands
● Be highly motivated and willing to take responsibility for work requirements and client needs
● Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain technical legal language to clients in a plain and straightforward manner
● Sound judgement and an ability to work to deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail
● Have experience of working effectively as part of a team and individually
● Have the ability to manage and prioritise tasks and to consistently meet deadlines
